Ceiling Lining Requirements
Confirm the board weight, frame or suspension arrangement, fixing pattern, joint treatment and final coating. Review access openings, services and any required moisture, fire or acoustic performance at assembly level. A plain fiber cement lining is not automatically an acoustic ceiling tile, and a ceiling-grade board should not be assumed suitable for structural flooring.

Product Questions
Is this the same as a mineral-fiber acoustic ceiling tile?
No. The material, format and intended performance need to be distinguished. Do not transfer acoustic tile ratings to a plain fiber cement board.
Can a ceiling board be used as a floor panel?
Only a specifically suitable product and approved floor design should be used. Ceiling selection does not establish load-bearing floor performance.
