Choose the board together with the intended paint, wallpaper, tile or other finish. Confirm surface preparation, joints, fixings and compatibility with the finishing system. In wet areas, distinguish a moisture-resistant backing board from the waterproofing layer required by the design. Fire or acoustic claims must match the relevant complete assembly.

Product Questions
Is this the same as a high-temperature industrial insulation board?
This range is presented for building linings, partitions and ceilings. If you need furnace, kiln or process-equipment insulation, specify that duty separately; building-board data should not be used as an industrial-insulation specification.
Is a calcium silicate board a waterproofing membrane?
No. Confirm the board suitability and the separate waterproofing, joint and finish requirements of the wet-area system.
What should a sample approval cover?
Agree the grade, thickness, dimensions, surface and edge quality, then record the approved sample reference and the bulk-order acceptance criteria.
